If you missed our Saturday Night with the Stars, you still have a chance to see some heavenly bodies! (Come on, that was funny, you laughed).
Saturday, March 24th, Meinders Community Library is hosting a trip to Marshall to visit the SMSU Planetarium, greenhouses, and science museum.
We will be loading cars at 8:30 in the Meinders Library parking lot – if there are a lot of us going, we may move over to the overflow lot near Highway 30. We are scheduled for a planetarium presentation at 10:00, followed by a tour of the greenhouse and a self-guided tour of the science museum. If there are enough of us, they will split us into two groups and the groups will swap locations for their tours after the planetarium. We will head back to Pipestone around 12:15 and it will be up to the individual cars if they want to stop for lunch.
Though the trip is free, we do not have access to a bus, so we will be using volunteer drivers. If you are willing to drive, please let us know. Because we need to know how many people will be attending, call the library at (507) 825-6714 to sign up. You will need to give your library card number over the phone, so make sure to have it with you when you call. You can stop in to sign up, too, if you want to see our smiling faces!
We’re going to have a great time, so give us a call today!
This project was funded in part or in whole with money from the vote of the people of Minnesota on November 4th, 2008, which dedicated funding to preserve Minnesota’s arts and cultural heritage.
